The Gift That Keeps Giving

For Kyle’s Christmas present, I made a very intelligent decision and bought him a fancy bread machine. Best gift ever! I’m not sure who it was more of a gift for- him or me. Regardless, it’s been wonderful testing recipes from “The Bread Lover’s Bread Machine Cookbook: A Master Baker’s 300 Favorite Recipes for Perfect-Every-Time Bread-From Every Kind of Machine“.

MLK

Better late then never!

Over MLK weekend in January, our two friends, Matt and Katherine, came to visit us from Laramie, Wyoming. It was wonderful to have them visit and finally utilize the freezer spare bedroom. You can read Katherine’s more timely account here.

Southern Utah Christmas

My parents decided to come visit me in Utah for the Christmas holiday. After spending Christmas and a few days in SLC we headed for southern Utah to spend a few days in St George and check out Zion National Park. On the drive down we stopped to check out Kolob Canyon, which makes up the northern part of Zion NP.

Found this guy hanging out next to the trail in Kolob Canyon. Not sure how long he lasted as it was above freezing.
